Bittersweet Nightshade
Bittersweet Nightshade (Solanum dulcamara) is a member of the Solanaceae (nightshade) family of plants that includes the bell and chili peppers, the tomato, the eggplant and the potato.
It is native to Africa and Eurasia and is now common in the northeastern United States where is becoming an invasive species. It is common along roadside and in disturbed woods.
It produces small red berries (looking like very small tomatoes) that are poisonous to humans and livestock.
